ABOUT US

Our Fraternity’s National History

Delta Epsilon Mu is the nation's premier Professional Pre-Health Co-Ed Fraternity. Beginning in 1996, our organization has worked with pre-health students across medicine, dentistry, nursing, psychology, veterinary studies, etc. for almost 23 years. We strive to employ our principles of dedication, loyalty, friendship and support in all of our efforts.

Our network is comprised of individuals of all backgrounds to produce a strong community of well-rounded students and professionals. This national organization provides students and the community with an inclusive resource for uniting professionals across the health fields and "Helping people together."

Since its inception, Delta Epsilon Mu has expanded to various chapters throughout the nation, along with Alpha Omicron, here at Santa Clara University, which was established in the Winter of 2019.

Alpha Omicron Chapter History

In the spring of 2017, Delta Epsilon Mu began the process to establish its 33rd chapter by expanding to Santa Clara University. Laura Hollison, who would become founding president, led the student members through the expansion process as signatory with the assistance of Karen Kikuta, who would become the founding vice president. On February 3, 2019, 11 students of the Santa Clara colony successfully earned an active charter and established the founding class of the Alpha Omicron chapter at Santa Clara University with the help of their expansion chapter, Θ Chapter at UC Merced. Upon completion of this ceremony, the 11 founders and the founding class were complete. In earning a charter as a chapter of Delta Epsilon Mu, the members of the founding class of AO chapter thus established a foundation at Santa Clara University for health education in all pre-health fields centered around the pillars of loyalty, dedication, friendship, and support.
